Mayor of Santa Anita Olympic Joy, was announced this morning following the assassination of his district’s deputy mayor, John Javier Valverde Ramirez. The burgomaster demanded justice and assured that he did not know whether the official was a victim of death threats or quota collection.
“We are going to completely change with our advisors. We ask (family) for great calm, humility, and we are going to get justice, ”Alegria wrote to the relatives of the victim. Asked about possible death threats that Valverde might have received, he replied: “No, we don’t know about that.”
