Felipe Santiago Estenos de Chaclacayo Symbolic School students will begin classes in a place with no perimeter walls after the Waikos passed through the place a few weeks ago.
The parent representative pointed to RPP News So far, no response has been received from the Ministry of Education.
“We have 20 meters of the wall, from the side of the Central Highway, which was carried away by the mudflow, and 40 meters from here on Los Olivos Avenue. In principle, we held a general meeting on Sunday, where we agreed to put a fee to buy a grid and place it at our own expense, but where is the Ministry of Education? The Ministry of Defense came just to look and without a decision,” he said.

“We have two unfinished walls”
The father of the family requested a response from the government and education authorities to resolve the lack of perimeter walls at Felipe Santiago Estenos’ school.
“We don’t know the exact date and we don’t know if they are going to do it or not. They came in their personal capacity. We don’t want them to look and leave, we want them to come and say we want to get started. In-person classes start tomorrow and we have these two unfinished walls,” he added.
A few weeks ago, word spread on social media that the force of a landslide had destroyed the walls of the Felipe Santiago Estenos school and flooded its classrooms following the activation of the Cusipata Gorge.
Tomorrow, Wednesday 29th, about 1,500 students will begin face-to-face classes at chaclacayobut in a symbolic school with no perimeter walls to provide security.
