A Gasoline tanker refueled with liquefied petroleum gas (CIS), from the company “Econogas”, got lost and turned over last night, on the edge of midnight, on the highway South Pan Americanat the height of El Derby Avenue, in the jurisdiction of Surco.

An unknown driver lost control of a heavy vehicle, the circumstances are being established.

One hypothesis is that the driver fell asleep at the wheel, so he attempted a sudden maneuver to avoid the accident, causing the truck to roll over.

Because of accidenta gas leak was registered, which, fortunately, was liquidated by the fire brigade.

Agents National Police and night watchmen from the area cordoned off the area to prevent vehicles from passing near the tanker truck.

The company does not go to the place

this morning at News extensionLima Fire Center Deputy Commander Oscar Ruiz said Econogas was not present at the site to remove CIS tanks; despite the fact that several hours have passed since the accident.

“The responsible company is strongly advised to send the empty tank truck immediately. This is done so that this empty truck can do what is called pumping or exchanging gas for a new tanker,” he said.

“The responsible company does not show up with their empty tanker truck to make this transfer or this replacement of a full tank with a new empty one,” he added.
