A group of families living in the human settlement of Las Esperanzas del Rio Chillon asked for help from comma municipality and other authorities because their houses collapsed due to the increased flow.
Ms. Betriz Tangoa spoke to RPP News about the situation, which has been going on since early Monday morning. She said she lost her home after three years of living in the area. He also noted that they turned to the municipality of Comas for help because they have children and elderly people in need of care.
“They came from the municipality of commas and brought a letter of exhortation to voluntary resignation, but where are we going? We have nowhere to go. It’s not how we do things. We want to be relocated,” he said.
This morning, an increase in the flow of the Chillon River led to the collapse of at least 30 houses located on the border between Comas and Puente Piedra, in the northern part of the city of Lima.
Among the victims are families from another locality called Las Brisas del Chillon in Comas, where neighbors are asking for help from the authorities. The current of the river washed away some of their houses or things they had placed in the back.
