Murder in San Miguel: mayors ask for clarification and punishment of those responsible

Mayor of Lima Rafael Lopez Allagaand more than 30 district burgomasters of the capital on Monday called on the competent authorities to find out the circumstances of the murder of six people that occurred in the San Miguel district and punish those responsible.

“We ask the executive, legislative and judicial authorities to prioritize the issue of insecurity affecting Peruvians and take appropriate measures to protect the rights of citizens, prioritizing life and security,” the statement said.

The signatories expressed their rejection of the acts of violence that took place near Plaza San Miguel Shopping Center and urged the public to reject any manifestations of violence and cooperate with the authorities to prevent such episodes.

Investigation begins

On the other hand, the State Department reported that the Second Office of the First Corporate Criminal Prosecutor Magdalena del Mar San Miguel Pueblo Libre launched an investigation to identify those responsible for the crime.

In his statement, he explained that, according to the first investigation, the attackers were alleged hitmen who were ordered to attack Israel San Roman Doroteo and his family, including two minors, under circumstances where he was driving through the intersection of Riva Aguero avenues and La Marina, close to the aforementioned mall.
