The explosion at the army headquarters in Quilabamba, in which 11 people were slightly injured, was allegedly caused by “the release of some explosives that caused damage to the infrastructure of the powder magazine,” according to the Peruvian army command.
The military establishment issued a statement on Sunday night saying there were no casualties despite the explosion that occurred at the headquarters of the 33rd Infantry Brigade.
