The protesters arrived on Thursday night at the intersection of st. Avenue Abancay and Nicolás de Pierolaat Cercado de Lima, and they were confronted by a cordon of national police troops deployed at that intersection to prevent the protesters from reaching Congress of the Republic.
This group of protesters came from Avenida Miguel Grau, and after a short confrontation in the oval of the indicated artery, they managed to overcome the siege of the police and run towards Abancay. Meanwhile, police officers fired tear gas at this point to disperse the protesters, who responded by throwing stones at them.
This is one of the places where clashes take place as part of protests against the government. Dina Boluarte and Congress of the Republic. Shortly before this, there were clashes on Avenida Garcilaso de la Vega, where the police detained a man.
The progress of the protesters is monitored by 196 CCTV cameras from the Monitoring Center of the municipality of Lima.
