One of the biggest exhibitors of the Paris Games week wasn’t necessarily what we expected. With a huge presentation area for the next PlayStation 5 games, an influencer-produced shopping and animation shop, Fnac is showing its strength at this major video game fair. “We had a little less than three months to organize ourselves. But our role as a leading player in the video game market is to be part of the party.” notes Charlotte Masico, director of gaming at Fnac-Darty.
Fnac does not report the weight of video games in its circulation. But the brand benefits from the characteristics of the French market. While purchasing video games in digital format, directly from the console, has become the norm around the world, French consumers remain attached to the physical format.
