Sarbacane is part of this category that French Tech is trying to bring out; a start-up that has become an extended or, in good French, an innovative mid-sized company (ETII). Over twenty years, the Lille group specializing in digital marketing has experienced steady and profitable growth. To accelerate, it has just completed a €110 million fundraising with EMZ and banking institutions.
The company’s history has allowed it to raise funds based on its operating margin rather than hypothetical turnover. It is enough to negotiate more calmly with banks and investment funds, believes its CEO and founder Mathieu Tarnus. “We are no longer beginners. We’ve been profitable for fifteen years, and so have the companies we buy“, he clarifies. More than 25,000 companies use its services.
