After a major redesign of the Pixel lineup in 2021, Google has taken a sneaky upgrade path and introduced two new models that are very similar to last year’s. Finally, after a brief showing at Google I/O, the Mountain View brand presents nothing mysterious. Pixel 7 and Pro variant.

Continuous and separatist design
On the face of it, Google is tweaking the Pixel to make small design tweaks: We maintain IP68 certification and Gorilla Glass Victus coverage for both teams, which sets the Pro offering apart by a few more millimeters in size.

The screen is also another separatist design element. In the case of the Pro model, we have an LPTO AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz, while 90 refresh cycles remain as standard. Both include an optical fingerprint sensor, which we hope is better than the one built into the Pixel 6.
The third dividing element is the camera placement, which, again, favors the Pro. While both support a 50MP main sensor and a 12 wide-angle lens, the 7 Pro boasts a 48MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom capability, allowing for a wider digital coverage. team. This point is important because of the superiority of Google in the photographic section.
The fourth difference is under the chassis: the battery. While the most powerful model has 12GB of RAM and a 500mAh battery, the Pixel 7 starts at 8GB and 4335mAh for autonomy.
Tensor G2 – Hopefully Better
With the Tensor G1, Google hasn’t thrown a key ball into the stands: benchmarks. It seems to be the same case, but those who use the Pixel on a regular basis know that this is a command that only works, that opening and closing applications does not take much time, and that it solves all processes.

Here we see an evolution of the chip Google built for phones, which should better manage battery and hardware resources. Along with this, Android 13 comes out of the box and with important additions to tasks.
Software: Google magic.
Google has made it clear that Pixel is a brand based on technologies such as artificial intelligence, Android, and Google Tensor; which differs from others in the type of experience that other users provide and is focused on privacy, security and usefulness.

In the case of the G2, they have added a new TPU that allows for faster management of tasks added by Google in previous generations. In addition, the inclusion of the Titan M2 chip used in Google cloud platforms adds multiple layers of data security, protection with a five-year guaranteed update.
According to Google, this type of innovation will protect user data in environments such as texting, health data stored on the device, and other environments such as web browsing. To guarantee navigation, Google will introduce its own VPN on its system.

Pixel 7 Differences
In the case of the Pixel 7, the inclusion of Tensor G2 allows Google to improve its voice and habit recognition algorithms and speed up team responses. This applies to messages, voice dictation, help, navigation, and all kinds of feedback on the device.

Another topic is the transcription of messages from a messaging app, a process that adds text processes to audio messages to make the message easier to understand.
Pixel Call Assist lets you display auto-responders on your screen, navigate business options, get spam call notifications, and more. In addition, a future novelty in this series will be “Clean Call”, which will allow you to isolate the sound of conversations so that you can clearly hear the interlocutor.
Pixel cameras: top of the industry
One of the most important additions to Pixel cameras is the ability to be used by visually impaired people and receive audible framing feedback when taking selfies and photos with a fixed lens.

Google promises to reduce photo blur by using the processing power of the Tensor G2 and merging different images to remove more blur caused by the system. “Photo Blur” has also been added for Google Photos and Pixel users, with which we can focus the pictures after posting.

In the case of video, a cinematic mode is added to the recording, all with low latency and HDR. This is the first time that the Pixel has included this system thanks to the G2 push and the ability to record 10-bit HDR. This recording system will be compatible with Snapchat, TikTok and YouTube. Also, unlike the Pixel 6, voice noise reduction support has been added for d4k videos at 60.

In the case of zoom, Google pushes a permutation system for each camera pixel at each zoom step so that the quality of the zoomed photo is not lost due to noise and lack of sharpness. In this case, Google’s “Super Res Zoom” adds multiple shots and straightens them to get high-quality close-up images.

Finally, the Pixel has a macro mode that allows you to use the wide-angle lens as an additional sensor for close up shots.

Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro Prices
In this case, too, Google is not hiding surprises and is offering the same price range as in 2021: $599 for the 128GB Pixel 7 and $899 for the Pixel 7 Pro with the same capacity. In addition, Google will include other hardware in its trade-in program. For now, it will only be available in 16 countries, including the US and Spain.
