Intel unveiled its new line arcpro video cardsdesigned specifically for workstations and laptops.
Arch Pro It complements the entry-level graphics cards introduced by the company at the beginning of the year, thus trying to enter a market dominated by NVIDIA and AMD.
Arc Pro and its promises
The new graphics cards are ideal for architecture, design, or 3D animation professionals, providing support for ray tracing, machine learning, and V1 hardware encoding.
Intel Arc Pro A40 D A50 they are focused on workstations. The former comes with 3.5 teraflops of power, eight ray tracing cores, and 6GB of GDRR6 memory. The second improves the power to 4.8 teraflops and increases the maximum power from 50 to 75 watts.
Intel Arc Pro A30 designed for laptops and comes with the same specifications as A40but its memory is only 4 GB.
Will they have a place in the market?
cards Intel They’re less powerful than NVIDIA’s (the RTX 20 series starts with 6GB of GDRR6 memory and 8 teraflops), but could try to win some market share if they come out at a good selling price, also taking advantage of their lower power consumption.
Intel guarantees that if you are using Adobe Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve Studios or Blender, these maps are for you. For gamers it will also be possible to play, but they are not designed for this specific purpose.
Cards Intel ArkPro they will hit the market “later this year” at prices that are still a mystery.
