WhatsApp continues to catch up with media like Telegram and Target knows there is a long way to go in this race. He was the CEO of the company Mark Zuckerbergwhich announced three new ways to manage the information we share on the messaging app, with a focus on protecting information and protecting privacy.
“Whatsapp is getting new privacy features: leave group chats without notifying everyone, control who can see when you’re online, and prevent screenshots in single-view messages. Leave WhatsApp groups silently
The first announcement focuses on the ability to leave a group in a quieter way and without having to expose the user leaving the conversation to other members.
According to WhatsApp, leaving a group will only be notified to the admins of each chat or group, while regular users will not see the leave notification. This new modality will be available from today.
Hide whatsapp online status
Another new feature integrated into the platform is the ability to hide online status from certain contacts, an option that allows us to fine-tune the visibility of our activity in the app.
Starting this August, WhatsApp will let you choose which contacts can and cannot be seen when we’re online in the app, adding an extra layer to private browsing.

One of the most recent tests, which remains in beta for now, is the ability to lock a screenshot on ephemeral content, a feature that allows you to remove all temporary message entries.
