However, a new report indicates that the company provided extensive and insecure access to illegal child sexual abuse material while training its moderators.
The report comes from Forbes and notes that external content moderation team members called teleplaywho works for tik tak and other companies said they were asked to view this type of content during their training to do their job with the short video platform.
According to the report, employees had access to a spreadsheet called SRP (Mandatory daily reading for its translation into Spanish) about the rules of moderation tik tak which allegedly contained “hundreds of images and videos” of children being naked or being abused.
Interviewed employees also mentioned that hundreds of people working in tik tak D teleplay they had access to this content both inside and outside the offices, at the risk that this material could leak out of both companies’ databases.
