The discovery can initiate the ideas about the history of the Vietnam Sea and the role of the region in the international antique trade.
In the northern province of Baknin, Vietnam, archaeologists found two well -seasoned ancient wooden ships with a unique two -structure, which was not found anywhere else in the world, according to the Vietnamese Institute of Archeology.
Vessels were found during work in the fish pond near the historic fortress Louis Lau.
Researchers suggest that ships can be part of the trading system related to Louis Lau-an important shopping center during the Chinese reign (1-3 century AD) or even in the Lee and Chan dynasties (11-14 centuries). The final dating will be installed using a radiocarbon review.

The ships consist of two uniform buildings connected by a wooden beam to the bow, and there is a complex structure of six compartments in each case. A lot of fruits and artifact seeds have been found inside, allowing you to rebuild ancient trade routes, cargo types, and even the geographical origin of the plants.
Given the destruction of the ancient wood, which is now full of water from a century -immersed underwater, careful efforts are now a priority. Urgent steps include a temporary re -covering of the search area with land and tarpaulin to prevent rapid destruction under the influence of water. Long -TERM preservation plans have been developed to protect very important artifacts for future research.
Reminds that the lost ship Kating Willem de Tweede was reported earlier on the coast of Australia.
