Remember some original Disney Channel series that, despite being amazing, many people may no longer remember
On February 28 this year, Disney Channel was officially closed in Brazil. The channel, which arrived at Brazilian pay television in the early 2000s, was responsible for marking the childhood and adolescence of thousands of young people around the country, thanks to its shows, movies and series, such as “Zapping Zone”, “High School Musical”, “Camp Rock”, “Hannah Montana”, “The Wizards of Waverly Place”, and others.
According to Disney in an official statement released in December 2024, the reason behind the end of the channel has been “in response to transformations in the local media and entertainment scenario, and to ensure that we continue to evolve and meet the needs of our consumers with agility and innovation, we decided to discontinue the operation of some linear channels in Brazil.”
