Boston Dynamics developed Atlas with funding from the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DAPRA).

The American company Boston Dynamics presented a bipedal humanoid robot with new skills. The humanoid robot Atlas performed a job in a car factory. The video was published on YouTube.

The footage shows the robot moving quickly between stands and areas of automotive parts, controlling the process using a camera and visual algorithm.

“It is not suitable for Atlas to make a mistake! Our humanoid robot is preparing to work for real, combining everything necessary – human strength, proper perception and proper mobility,” commented the company.

Recall that the car manufacturing company BMW used humanoid robots.
