Tarot cards are not for divination – historians

They are considered the work of alchemists of the 12th century, sacred texts of India, Jewish knowledge and hidden information about the Knights Templar.

Researchers say that the tarot cards used for divination were never meant to be used for divination. They were originally used as playing cards by the Mamluks. The Ancient Sources write about it.

It is believed that the Tarot was invented in China, and then the cards spread to Mamluk and Western Europe.

According to another version, Tarot cards originated in Northern Italy. They were supposedly created in the 15th century.

Historians also suggest that the images on them were not created for mystical reasons, but should simply reflect aspects of the players’ real world in which they lived.

For the first time, Tarot cards for divination were used by the Frenchman Antoine Court de Gebelin in 1781. He was ordained as a pastor and then a freemason in the lodge Les Amis Réunis.

Gebelin believed that the Tarot cards contained the secrets of the Egyptians. In particular, the ancient book of Thoth, which they made an image of.
