The technology behind ChatGPT has become a benchmark for industry giants and is closely followed by many. Steve Wozniakthe co-founder of Apple is one of those who keeps his distance from this innovation and believes that there are “mistakes” that can be made.

Speaking to CNBC, the mythical “Woz” noted that the impact of this new trend is undeniable, but he has some caveats: “The problem is that he does good things for us, but he can make terrible mistakes without knowing what humanity is.” warned.

At present, generative artificial intelligence is part of the growth pattern in companies such as Google, Microsoft, Meta, Baidu, Alibaba and other technology companies.

Opt-3 and possible bias

In the case of conversational AI, Steve Wozniak says there are concerns about “terrible mistakes” that could be made with this achievement.

“The problem is that he does good things for us, but he can make terrible mistakes without knowing what humanity is.” he pointed out. “It’s like you’re driving a car and you know what other cars can do right now because you know the people.”

Wozniak is not far from the facts in this statement. Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, acknowledged that ChatGPT has certain “bias-related deficiencies,” the same ones that are often fueled by users who interact with the technology and add messages that target racism, sexism, or other types of social bias.

Wozniak: “The computer will never be equal to the brain”

In an interview, the engineer noted that much of the behavior of the human brain still needs to be investigated in order to think that AI can be close to the processing level of humans. “After studying the computational brain, you realize that computers will never be able to match the brain. We don’t yet know how our brains work and where memories are stored.”

Wozniak believes that ChatGPT will be useful for humans, as will much of the research on this new technology. “It will definitely be helpful for people. All AI technologies are at a higher level. No human could even come close to remembering what AI can do.” noticed a partner of Steve Jobs in the early years of Apple.
