Microsoft Teams changes and will affect users. The remote work app changes its form to add its Teams Premium service, a subscription that you actually have to pay to use.

For this, the company refuses the free version. commands the small business company will launch a similar but less functional app with the same name on April 12th. And with such a change, data could be lost.

Pay to have your data

The new free commands will require users to create a new account.

Data from the old app, now renamed to Teams Free (Desktop), will be deleted. Anything you haven’t saved by then will be gone, including any shared files you haven’t downloaded.

In the event that a company wants to retain such data, it will need to pay at least $4 per user per month for the Essential plan to retain chats, appointments, channels, and other key information.

This won’t affect personal use, but it can be a headache for small businesses that previously relied on free commands for coordination.

Application changes
