The teacher aims to develop an affordable and environmentally friendly electric car for everyone, as the country has seen a rapid increase in fuel prices.
Indian math teacher Bilal Ahmed has created an unusual electric car. He built it for 11 years based on an old Nissan Micra. Euronews reported this.
So, the enthusiast converted his Nissan Micra hatchback, replaced the engine with an electric motor and added solar panels that could efficiently power the power plant.
It all came to $19,000.
“When I started the project and even after I finished it, no one gave me any financial help. I think if I got the necessary support, maybe I would be the Indian Elon Musk,” said Ahmed.
He installed monocrystalline solar panels in cars, where each photovoltaic cell is made from a single silicon crystal. Such batteries produce more kilowatt-hours of electricity than others.
In addition, the car has futuristic details – gullwing doors, like the legendary DeLorean DMC-12. They are also installed to capture as much sunlight as possible.
