Asus updates its laptops in 2023: 18-inch models arrive

Asus ROG introduced new laptops and desktops from the series Strix, Zephyr D Flow.

“For Those Who Dare: Maxed Out” event aired as part of the fair CES 2023 Las Vegas (USA) welcomed the news about ASUS ROG serial gaming equipment Strix, Zephyr, Flow.

The series also includes the ROG Strix G22CH desktop, which features a compact 10-litre airflow-optimized design that is compatible with air or liquid cooling. Powered by 13th generation and latest Intel Core i9 processor Nvidia RTX GPUs.

What’s new in ROG Zephyrus

ASUS ROG also updated the series Zephyr with new laptops Zephyrus G14, Zephyrus G16 D Zephyrus M16they all feature Dolby Atmos speakers, a multi-mode 3D microphone array, and two-way AI-powered noise cancellation.

Zephyrus G14 is a 14″ computer ROG Nebula HDR Mini LED Display Pantone certified 165Hz QHD with 16:10 aspect ratio. There are also versions in QHD at 165Hz or FHD at 144Hz.

It comes with an AMD Ryzen 9 Zen 4 processor and GPU. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series and a 76 Wh battery. To prevent overheating, this computer has a cooling system that includes an evaporation chamber that covers the CPU and GPU, liquid metal thermal paste on the CPU, and two 84-blade Arc Flow fans.

Zephyrus G16 includes a 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900H processor and a 40-series Nvidia GeForce RTX Mobile GPU. And it features a ROG Nebula display with a 94% screen-to-body ratio and an enlarged 16:10 aspect ratio, as well as a 90Wh battery and HDMI 2.1.

Model Zephyrus M16which is equipped with 13th generation Intel Core i9-13900H processor and GPU NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series. It features a 240Hz ROG Nebula HDR QHD mini LED display with 3ms response time, G-SYNC technology, 92% screen-to-body ratio, and 16:10 aspect ratio.

Models Zephyr they have a 180-degree ErgoLift hinge and include a variety of ports, including a 100W USB Type-C port with DisplayPort 1.4 and power delivery, support for PD charging, and WiFi 6E. Both the G16 and M16 come with Thunderbolt 4.

What’s New in ROG Flow

Series Horn Flow expanded from Horn Thread X13, which includes up to an AMD Ryzen 9 Zen 4 processor and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40-series laptop GPU. It features a 360° convertible design and for even more power, an optional XG Mobile external GPU with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40-series laptop GPU.

Liquid Metal Compound CPU and three dedicated air vents ensure maximum performance. It also comes with a 75Wh battery, 100W USB Type-C fast charging, and a 130W AC adapter.

Horn Thread X13 available in two display options: a 165Hz QHD Nebula or 120Hz FHD panel that has been Pantone validated and offers Dolby Vision compatibility, a scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass DXC touchscreen, G-SYNC and Advanced Optimus technology.

This series also features new Horn Thread X16which is equipped with up to 13th generation Intel Core i9-13900H processor, GPU NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series for laptops, up to 2TB PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD and up to 16GB DDR5-4800 memory with two upgradeable SO-DIMMs.

It uses a 1100 nit Nebula HDR mini LED display with 1024 individual dimming zones, QHD resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time, and extended 16:10 aspect ratio. It also has Pantone Validated color representation, 100% DCI-P3 gamut, Dolby Vision HDR. It includes an HDMI 2.1 port and a USB4 Type-C port with Thunderbolt 4.

The Tri-Fan cooling system comes with Arc Flow fans. Large recessed plate radiators cover maximum surface area. In addition, the processor uses liquid metal thermal paste. There are also dust filters for stable performance and stability.

New items in this series are equipped with Horn Thread Z13Gaming tablet powered by 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series GPU for G-SYNC and DDS 2.0 laptops housed in a 12mm thin, 1.1kg chassis.

This equipment features a 13-inch Nebula Display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut with a 165Hz QHD panel. It offers high-quality Dolby Atmos sound, Hi-Res Audio, smart amplifier, two-way AI noise reduction, and Thunderbolt 4 compatibility.
