Victor Eduardo Rojas Herrera was sworn in this Wednesday as the new head of the Interior Ministry, Cabinet Alberto Otarola.
The swearing-in ceremony was presided over by the President of the Republic, Dina Boluarteand was held at the headquarters of the Government Palace.
Here, Victor Eduardo Rojas Herrera will replace Cesar Augusto Cervantes Cardenas, who took office as Minister of the Interior on 10 December.
PROFILE
New Minister of the Interior Victor Rojas Herrerais a retired General of the National Police and since December 2 of last year served as Quartermaster Intendency IV – Oriente of the National Directorate for the Control of Security Services, Arms, Ammunition and Explosives for Civil Use (sukamek).
In 2011, Rojas Herrera headed the territorial administration National Police of Peru (Dirtepol) from Arequipa, and earlier he was the head of Dirtepol Cajamarca.
