National Electoral Jury (JNE) spoke out in the face of criticism after Regional and municipal elections – 2022. In his statement, he called political organizations and citizens to remain calm and respectful of results, “as befits any democratic society.”
In this sense, he expressed concern about the acts of violence that took place in different parts of the country during the day last Sunday. In addition, he asked the competent authorities to act in accordance with their powers in these situations.

On the other hand, JNE indicated that there were 40 electoral conflicts across the country on Election Day: the largest number of cases occurred in Loreto (7), La Libertad (5), Cajamarca (3) and Ancash (3).
Amazonas, Huanuco, Lima, Huancavelica, Ica, Ayacucho and Puno presented two cases each, while San Martin, Lambaeque, Ucayali, Callao, Junin, Cusco, Apurimac D Arequipa one case was recorded in each region.
