Diego Bazancongressman and president of the Congressional Defense Commission, on Monday asked Secretary of Defense Daniel Barragan for all information related to the trip of the president’s alleged nephew Pedro Castillo, who has been identified as “Ley Vasquez Castillo”, on the presidential plane on June 23 en route to Chiclayo.
A recent investigative report published last Sunday revealed that the fugitive Fray Vazquez, the head of state’s nephew, was supposed to be on board the presidential plane flying to Chiclayo lands. This caused a strong reaction of Congress to this information.
Diego Bazan made a request for Minister of Defense through a deal he uploaded to his Twitter account. “According to the passenger manifest, to which said medium had access, it is indicated that he will be the person authorized by the Office of the President to accompany the president’s escort,” the document, written by the parliamentarian, says.
In his official letter, Bazan told the Minister of Defense “very urgently” to send a report on this trip to inquire about the protocol for checking in and boarding passengers. A similar request was made by the Oversight Commission chaired by Hector Ventura.
“Given that these issues are of concern to this commission, I very urgently ask you to inform this commission about the accuracy of the specified information, the protocol for registering and boarding passengers on ships and the actions taken in connection with these facts,” the document says.
Pedro Castillo denied that Fray Vazquez was on the presidential plane
President of the Republic Peter’s castle, was announced after a web portal denounced that his nephew Fray Vazquez flew the presidential plane to Chiclayo on June 23. In his Twitter account, the head of state pointed out that “the despair in power and the delegitimization of the government now have no boundaries.”
“Now the political caste and opponents are creating lies with the tabloid and servile media towards the mafia, claiming that Fray Vazquez was supposed to fly to Chiclayo on June 23 on the presidential plane. With this deceit, they want to influence governance and democracy,” the head of state said.
The President also called in his message to the population not to succumb to disinformation, which is only aimed at creating political noise and uncertainty.
