President of the Republic Pedro Castillo confirmed on Monday that the government will review the creation Ministry of Fisheries. According to the president, this assessment is carried out at the request of the artisanal fishermen themselves.
“The aspiration of artisanal fishermen at the national level is the establishment of the Ministry of Fisheries, and it is synchronized. We need to work with this at the base, with trade unions,” the president said after participating in the X National Congress of the Federation of Integration and Association of Craftsmen-Weighers of Peru.

The head of state said that he would take part in the next congresses and meetings of handicraft fishermen, for which he would make adjustments to its agenda.

The Defense and Control Commissions have asked Mindef chief Daniel Barragan for information on passengers who traveled with the president last June.
