Constitutional Commission of the Congress of the Republic Elected Legislator Alliance for Progress (app), Lady Camones, as vice-president of the aforementioned parliamentary working group. 18 votes for shrimp She was elected unanimously and joined the board of directors of the commission chaired by Hernando Guerra to complete the period 2022–2023.
Camones replaced his former bench colleague Heidi Juarez, recently expelled from the parliamentary group. Juarez is accused of being responsible for leaking some audio recordings in which APP leader Cesar Acuña asked Camones to give priority to a bill that would directly benefit his candidacy for the La Libertad regional government.
Guerra Garcia commented before the start of the vote that the seat for the vice president corresponded to the bench of the AMS; therefore, a member of that party must be elected.
Note that Camones was elected chairman of the subcommittee on constitutional charges last Friday, September 16th.

After the audio recordings were leaked on Monday, September 5, the left benches presented vote of no confidence against the then head of the Board of Directors of Congress, Lady Camones. On the same day, the initiative was allowed to be discussed with 64 votes in favor and 42 against.
“Lady Camones has a direct and personal conversation with Mr. Cesar Acuña Peralta, President of the Alliance for Progress and current candidate for the regional government of La Libertad, where he directly explains the work he does in this state power, undressing. the strategy they pursued in favor of Mr. César Acuña Peralta with regard to the Alto Trujillo District Allocation Bill,” the petition alleged.
Later, after the end of the debate, with 61 votes in favor, 47 against and five abstentions, the parliamentary representation decided to remove Lady Camones from the post of chairman of the Board of Directors.
José Williams of Avanza País was elected President of the Congress on 12 September to the seat vacated by Camones Soriano.
