For his part, Fujimorista Hernando Guerra Garcia said that the head of state should go to represent the country at an event in which many countries participate. However, he asked the ruling party to remember that the president’s trip is not a right, but the prerogative of parliament. Finally, having approved the trip, the Chancellor Cesar Landa welcomed the decision of the Congress in order to strengthen the “image” of the country.
