Pedro Castillo’s government today accepted Geiner Alvarado’s resignation as Minister of Transport and Communications following censorship by Congress last Thursday, September 15th.
By Supreme Decree No. 236-2022-PCM, published in the official gazette El Peruano, the executive branch thanked Alvarado Lopezwho has held this post since August 5 last year, for “services rendered to the people.”
The legal device has signatures President Pedro Castillo and Prime Minister Anibal Torres.

Congress condemns Geiner Alvarado

The controversy arose because the decision was similar to the one taken by former transport minister Juan Silva before fleeing on June 3 after sending a WhatsApp message to his escort that he did not need his services.
