Congress of the Republic urged to approve a bill preventing permanent changes in the general command National Police of Peru (pnp), an initiative overseen by President Pedro Castillo.
The rule states that the president will not change the commander-in-chief of the PPP for a minimum of two years, and another year if the job is done well or the head of state deems it so.
In particular, the autograph proposes to amend articles 8 and 18 of the Law on legislative decree 1267law National Police of Peru. Congress signed an autograph with 82 votes in favour, 25 against and 7 abstentions. As approval at insistence, it does not require a second vote.
