Congress publishes legislation establishing CTS calculation for contract teachers and education assistants.

According to the new standard, the new calculation KTS applies when teachers D aids with contracts governed by laws 30328, 31278 and 30493, their employment relationship ends.

The text states that “a contracted teacher receives KTS which is provided at the end of their employment relationship in the amount of 100% of their full monthly remuneration for the year or part of all months and days of services worked.

Concerning aids, after the termination of the contract, the appointed persons will be provided with 100% of their monthly remuneration per year or a part of the total number of months and days of services worked. Those who have been appointed are paid 100% of their monthly remuneration for a year or the portion exceeding six months of official service.

CTS for teachers

In the first week of April 2022, Law No. 31451 was signed and published, which established that teachersat the national level, will be able to access 100% of their KTS at the time of retirement.

Thanks to this rule, teachers will have KTS 100% of their full monthly allowance (RIM) for a year or a portion exceeding six months of effective official service, counting from the date of their appointment to the date of retirement.

The previously established percentage was 14%.

Full Congress approved on April 1 the aforementioned law by a raid, after it was observed by the executive branch. With this in mind, new benefit periods have been set so that the change is set progressively. Thus, teachers who leave in 2022 will receive 50% of START this year, 20% in 2023 and 30% in 2024.

For their part, those who retire in 2023 will receive 70% of their CTS this year and 30% next year; while teachers retiring from 2024 will receive 100% at the time of retirement.
