General Secretariat of the Organization of American States (OAS) expressed its concern about the conflict situation both in the institutional sphere and in the social sphere of Peru in the context of the political crisis in the country.
In a statement, the organization warned that the apparent lack of effective dialogue between the legislative and executive branches, especially; and the crisis in various fields left behind by the pandemic make governance vulnerable.
Given this, he argued that it was necessary to build bridges of dialogue and agreement in defense of democratic institutions, the full legitimacy of state powers and the maintenance of internal peace.
