The government will ask parliament delegation of power to pass laws on the security of citizens and organized crime, Interior Minister Mariano Gonzalez announced on Monday during his presentation before Congressional Commission on Citizens’ Safety.
The minister has indicated that he has targets for 30, 90 and 120 days of his administration. The delegation of authority request is in the 30-day plan.
“During this period, we will submit a request for delegation faculties enact laws on citizen security and organized crime, so from now on, creating mechanisms for coordination and learning with you (congressmen) will be essential. As many times as it takes, he will be here (in Congress) ready to work hand in hand with you to make our system work,” he said.
Ask them to let you work
In this sense, he asked Congress which give you the benefit of the doubt and allow you to carry out your plans within Ministry of the Interior.
“The problem of insecurity is not just a problem of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but we will count and work, but we need a minimum of stability. That is, at least a period. We have a plan of 30, 60 and 120 days. At least give us a presumption of doubt of 120 “days. An ideal year would be to draw up an effective plan. There can’t be a dark alley the day after taking office,” he argued.
rondero case
About what happened to the tortured patrol women and accused of “witchcraft” women, as well as about the case of journalists from fourth forcewho would have been kidnapped while they were doing their job, Minister Mariano Gonzalez He claimed that this was being investigated and that he was against this action.
“Yesterday I contacted the chairman of the patrols. National Police does his job and ministry Public already intervened. We follow,” he said.
“If in the previous case it was about journalists, men doing such difficult work, and I expressed my opinion against it, then with much more reason – in relation to journalists – what they did to these women is inexcusable,” Gonzalez added.
