The official nomination of candidates will take place on July 12, and the next day the first round of voting on candidates for party leadership is scheduled. The second round is likely to take place on July 14th.

The screening of candidates should be completed on July 21, when parliament is on summer vacation. After that, only two applicants should remain on the lists, whose fate will no longer be determined by representatives of the House of Commons, but by ordinary members of the Conservative Party.

Eleven conservative politicians have already expressed their desire to participate in the election of the Tories leader, who will automatically become prime minister, since the party is in power.
