Paladino, a real estate developer who ran for governor in 2010, was a strong supporter of Donald Trump in the beginning. He is essentially a Buffalo Trump both politically and personally.
In August 2017, Paladino was expelled from the Buffalo School Board for misrepresentation in personal board matters. But the real anger over his stance began a few months ago, in December, with racist comments he made about former President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.
Local Edition Artois asked Paladino and other Buffalonians about their hopes for 2017. Paladin took the opportunity and called Michelle Obama a man who had to live with gorillas and said he hoped to be dead Barack Obama from mad cow disease.
