bench people power asked the Ethics Commission to act ex officio in the case of Rep. Maria Cordero John-Ty, who is a member of said working group, for alleged unsubstantiated allegations against her employees.
In a statement, Fujimori’s bench also asked for a commission chaired by a congressman Karol Paredes (People’s Action) to ensure a fair and transparent investigation into the above complaint.
“We call on the Ethics Commission of the Congress of the Republic to act ex officio in this case and guarantee a fair and transparent investigation,” they said on their Twitter account.

In addition, the panel demanded that tax investigations against their co-religionist in the same case be carried out promptly and with due process. They also indicated that they initiated an internal process against this congresswoman.
