Justice and Human Rights Minister José Tello referred to Alejandro Toledo’s extradition scheduled for 9:00 am on Friday the 7th and indicated that while he could appeal to extend the process, the US justice system is already clear that the former president is trying to take advantage of delay maneuvers.
“The U.S. authorities have issued a statement regarding a number of delayed appeals that Alexander Toledo and his defense is training, so in this situation there is a mandate that tomorrow Friday at 9:00 (California time) he will inform the authorities about his arrest and extradition to Peru, ”he said in News extension from PTR.
“Perhaps you will file another appeal. I wouldn’t miss it but It is very clear to American justice that we are facing a delaying maneuver.. The position is already established, this position of the federal government on issuing Alexander Toledo”, he added.
