National Prosecutor’s Office decided to open a preliminary investigation against the deputy of the Alianza para el Progreso faction, Rocio Torres Salinas, for allegedly making false accusations against employees working in his office. He also included his nephew, Juan Daniel Perez Guerraas an alleged accomplice in the concussion crime.
As you remember, the Sunday program end point stated that the legislator would force her workers to pay part of their wages to the account of her nephew, Juan Daniel Perez Guerra.
In addition, special attention was paid to the case of Cecilia Salazar Mattos, who was an adviser salt towers from July 2021 to August 2022. During this period, he transferred the amount of more than 24 thousand soles.
Similarly, Jesús Sierra Tapia, Rocío Torres’ chief adviser, was supposed to transfer 4,400 soles to Pérez Guerra last June. Abigail Garcia Diaz, Cesar Macedo von Bancels and Estefania Calvo Zúñiga, all employees of Torres’ office, will find themselves in the same situation.
APP spokesman clarified that his bank “is not going to shield anyone”
Alejandro Soto, representative of the bench Alliance for Progress, indicated that his party was unwilling to defend Rocío Torres in alleged illegal activities in which he was implicated. He also mentioned that they contacted the legislator for clarification and also gave her 48 days to publicly disavow the charges.
“Alianza Para el Progreso has never defended anyone. We sanctioned Freddie Diaz Monago, we expelled Heidi Juarez, we have separated Magali Ruiz from the committees and now we are doing the same with Rocio Torres. We apply what our bylaws say and, in essence, we abdicate all responsibility and allow the Ethics Commission to conduct a clear and transparent investigation, ”he said in Everything is known from RPP news.
Meanwhile, the president of the Alianza para el Progreso (APP) party, César Acuña, revealed that his group had expelled deputy Rosio Torres from said group after a complaint against him.
Governor La Libertad assured that he created the party not “so that people can use it to serve themselves.”
“The first thing we did was to separate her from Ethics, we are waiting for the congresswoman to download, explain to us, and she definitely needs to be expelled from the party. She will be expelled because we will not allow congressmen to spoil the image of the party and, worst of all, to discredit Congress of the Republic”, he told Channel N.
