The Congress of the Republic officially announced today, Monday, the dismissal of Member of Parliament Enrique Wong Pujada (former Podemos Peru) for the period 120 daysthe time during which discounts his assets
This is established by Legislative Resolution 012-2022-2023-CR, published today in the Legal Standards Bulletin of the Official Gazette El Peruano.
The resolution is signed by the President of the Congress, Joseph Williamsand First Vice President of Parliament, Martha Moyano.
sanction It will become official after the approval by 65 votes to 28 with 24 abstentions of the report presented by the Commission on Parliamentary Ethics last Thursday, March 30th.

The report of the working group, chaired by Karol Paredes, stated a complaint from citizens against the suspended deputy for allegedly interfering with the appointment of his adviser Manuel Talavera to the board of the National Port Company (Enapu).
After being suspended, Wong requested a revision, but the plenary rejected it with only 62 of the 66 votes needed to pass it.
Wong, obviously hurt by the suspension, was supported by several congressmen who came to his seat at the end of the plenary session.
