The First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska received The Hillary Rodham Clinton Awards for her leadership in recognizing the important role of women in creating a more peaceful and secure world. This was reported by the Office of the President of Ukraine.
It was noted that the wife of the head of state had a video call with the United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who presented him with the award online.
In his speech at the awards ceremony, Zelenska emphasized that not only he deserves this award, but all Ukrainians who defend our land from the Russian invaders.
“I want to say honestly: I don’t have the feeling that this award is only mine. The whole of Ukraine is now fighting for freedom and at the same time for a peaceful life around the world. So let me thank you and share this difference to every Ukrainian woman and Ukrainian rights defender in the world,” he said.
Also, the first lady of Ukraine considers this award as a sign of support for Ukraine from the United States.
