In February, the organizing committee of the national selection decided to refuse to participate in the Eurovision 2022 selection of the singer with the song “Tinі Forgotten Ancestors”.

The singer Alina Pash, who was involved in a strong scandal after the national selection for Eurovision 2022 because she visited the Russian-occupied Crimea, admitted that it was illegal. He revealed this in an interview on YouTube channel Palai.

According to him, at first he really doubted and could not remember exactly how he got to the territory of the peninsula.

“I really started to doubt how it happened, because it was in 2015. At that moment, with that pressure, I started to doubt: how did it really happen, maybe I really stopped, but I didn’t remember. I started as if I had deceived myself. I understand that it’s not cool, it’s stupid, it’s irresponsible, and I’m carrying this backpack with stones that I’ll need to carry,” he said.

At the same time, the artist admitted that he entered Crimea from the territory of Russia, and the certificate, which allegedly confirmed that he came to Crimea from Ukraine, was unreliable.

“Yes, I got there, unfortunately, illegally and I don’t have the right to participate in the National Selection. I accept this responsibility now. It was a public deception, that is. And I am very annoyed that it happened so loudly and before such events . Although my song is completely the opposite. This whole story, it’s a very unpleasant story of lies. Lies to do something good,” added Alina Pash.

Earlier it was reported that Alina Pash presented two new versions of the song Tіnі Zabutih Predkіv and a video clip for one of them.
