Gazprom claims that they arranged the “agreement” with Ukraine of Russian gas, which should be delivered to Moldova under a contract with the Moldovagaz company.
“The volume of gas supplied by Gazprom to GIS Sudzha for transfer to Moldova through the territory of Ukraine exceeds the physical volume sent to the border of Ukraine with Moldova. On November 21, Moldovagaz, in accordance with the contract, has paid Gazprom a part. of the supplies for November. The volume of Russian gas actually delivered, in relation to which the payment for the current deliveries in November was violated, was 24.945 million cubic meters of gas . The total accumulated volume of repairs in Ukraine is 52.52 million cubic meters of gas,” the report said.
The Russian concern said that “while maintaining the transit imbalance through Ukraine for Moldovan consumers, on November 28 at 10:00, Gazprom will begin to reduce gas supply to Sudzha GIS for transit through Ukraine at the cost of daily underdelivery.”
It is known that in recent months Gazprom has been supplying gas to Europe in transit through Ukraine in the amount of 42.9 million cubic meters per day only through the Sudzha GIS gas metering station.
Meanwhile, markets have already reacted to Gazprom’s announcement. Gas prices in Europe jumped 2.2% to $1,282 per thousand cubic meters, or EUR 120.595 per MWh (based on the current euro/dollar exchange rate, ICE prices are presented in euros per MWh). The total price increase since the beginning of the day is 4%.
Remember that Russia is losing gas exports to distant countries. In 10 months, the indicators fell by 42.6% – to 91.2 billion cubic meters. m – with a tendency to further decrease.
