For the first time, the members of the jury of the national selection for Eurovision were chosen by Ukrainians by voting on Diya’s application.
The Ukrainian singer Jamala, who won the voting for the national selection jury for Eurovision 2023, admitted that the results came as a surprise. He announced this on air at Snidank z 1+1.
According to the performer, he did not expect that Ukrainians would allow the sixth time to choose a representative of our country to participate in the international song contest, adding that it is a big responsibility.
“This year, people chose the jury, and it was very cool. Dima Shurov, who is the music producer of the current national selection, called me on the phone and congratulated me. And this is a big responsibility for me . I didn’t expect and didn’t plan for that long. By the way, Yulia Sanina and I have talked about the competition, but not yet in Topol,” she shared.
It was previously reported that Taras Topolya admitted that being a candidate was a surprise for him.
