Surprise. Hamilton has just reissued its Railroad Pocket Watch, a tribute to the railroads of the United States and the employees who clocked. The brand, now Swiss but born at 917 Columbia Avenue in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1892, was indeed responsible for outfitting American railroad workers. This limited edition of 917 pieces (€1,495) is of course equipped with a modern caliber; hand-wound movement: ETA 6497, with 50-hour power reserve. Also has a travel case and removable chain.
To add a vintage touch to your look, you can also buy a vintage pocket watch… at a relatively affordable price, even if it is signed by a well-known watchmaker. For a good in-house model such as Longines and Omega, it will cost you around €1,200. A bargain for a major brand creation that is over half a century old… If it’s a Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin or Audemars Piguet, rather a table…
