Meet Dudu Melo, promoter consecrated in festivals and shows in Brazil
Born in Miguel Pereira, countryside of Rio de Janeiro, Dudu Melo, 26 years old, established himself in the public relations sector, going against the grain of his training. Graduated in Physiotherapy from UFRJ, the good relationship with personalities in the communication area ended up taking the carioca to follow other directions.
“I came to the capital to study Physiotherapy, I graduated, but when I was 18 I was invited to have a party at Miroir, a nightclub in Lagoa. After that, I started doing events and never stopped. I did my first Rock in Rio at the age of 20, soon after I followed with Camarote N1 at Sapucaí, Rio Open, in addition to experiences outside the country”said.
Melo says that despite the difficulties encountered in his career, perseverance and spontaneity were fundamental to his growth:
“When I was invited by Miroir partners to hold the events, my career took off, the place became a reference in events and I am eternally grateful for the opportunity”he said.
He is divided between Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, his role is to connect people with brands, in addition to creating content and planning these, as well as taking care of VIP areas of shows and festivals. Dudu says that the work is meticulous so that there are good results.
“As a good Libra, I am very diplomatic. I work in an organic way, I pride myself on providing unique experiences for people and brands, as well as being very motivated, analytical and insightful. In our environment (of events), it is necessary to know how to filter relationships very well, because even being very friendly, it can become toxic”opined.
Last year, Dudu participated in an important festival that included the participation of celebrities such as Marcelo Falcão and Bruno de Luca. In the Carioca Carnival, he performed in a cabin, taking Isis Valverde, Larissa Manoela, Ricky Tavares, Valesca Popozuda, Carol Peixinho, Emily Nunes, Caroline Dallarosa and Laura Fernandez.
For the future, the RP aims for new flights and gives a tip for those who wish to enter the segment:
