The man admitted that he had no military experience, but he was ready to die for our country.
The great-nephew of the 35th US President John F. Kennedy, 28-year-old Conor Kennedy admitted that he defended Ukraine from the Russian invaders. He served in the ranks of the International Legion. Kennedy made the announcement on Instagram.
He said he was deeply moved by what was happening in our country and wanted to help.
“I heard about the International Legion, I knew I was going, and the next day I went to the embassy to sign up,” he recalled.
Kennedy also noted that he gave his real name to only one person. He did not want special treatment for himself, and did not tell anyone about his decision.
“I had no military experience and I was not a marksman, but I could carry weights and quickly learned. I was ready to die there. And soon they agreed to send me to the northeastern front. I spent a little time in Ukraine, but “I saw and felt a lot. I liked being a soldier more than I expected. It’s scary. But life is simple, and the reward for courage and good deeds is significant,” he said.
Kennedy also added that the International Legion had the bravest people he had ever met and were true freedom fighters.
“Like the citizens I know, many of them have lost everything in the long struggle against the oligarchy and for the democratic system. They know that this is not a war between equals, this is a revolution,” he stressed.
“Russia’s war against Ukraine will determine the fate of democracy in this century. Every day, the people there are sacrificing everything for a lasting peace, and they must not act alone,” Kennedy concluded , who called for support for Kyiv by joining the legion, sending medicine. or border assistance.
