Ukrainian pop singer Kamaliya admitted that until recently she did not believe that Russia would invade Ukraine, however, alarming calls about the start of a full-scale war are coming from everywhere. He revealed this in an interview with Rostyslove Production.
According to her, her husband Mohammad Zahoor, who has UK citizenship, was repeatedly advised to take his family abroad, so the performer decided to send the twins to London.
“The children left the day before the war started, they flew to London on the last flight, I said I would stay, I wouldn’t go anywhere.
On February 24, when the full Russian invasion began, Kamaliya admitted that she planned to take up arms and go to defend the Motherland, but her husband stopped her.
“I want to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. I’m very hurt, I’m very angry. I don’t want to leave Ukraine, I want to fight. I’m in a mood that I just want to take a machine gun and fight for Ukraine” – shared the performer .
Earlier it was reported that Kamaliya was involved in the scandal. Stylist Sofia Nevedomaya accused her of not paying fees for the work done.
