The host of the show Orel and Reshka, Andrey Bednyakov, delivered a speech on the air of the telethon, where he spoke about his native Mariupol and his late mother. Remembering the city of childhood, the star could not hold back her tears.
Bednyakov admitted that despite frequent trips, he always returned to his native city and knew all its roads by heart.
“Wherever I am. In Kyiv, abroad, I happened to travel a lot. I always get on the train and go home, to my native Mariupol, to my mother. And it doesn’t matter where I am – in Kharkov for sessions, or at the first shooting in Kyiv, where I was paid money, I wanted to show this money to my mother … I got on the train and went home, like thousands of residents of Mariupol, we drove along the same road, which we know by heart. Now, when I close my eyes, I see him as if it were yesterday. When you go home, on the right you see the Ilyich plant, you understand that you are close. After 10 minutes, on the left that, you see the Azovstal plant and you know that in three minutes you will be standing there, on the stage of your city, and therefore you start calling a taxi. Three minutes later you are standing there and the hottest starters – memories you can’t forget, because the wind from the sea blows on your back, and in your face the taxi drivers and each of them is very happy to see you and all are ready to take you to any place you want to eat,” said by Bednyakov.
Now, according to him, there is nothing left of his home city but memories.
“And now, when I open my eyes, I see that there is nothing, everything is destroyed, except the memories. Buildings are destroyed, destinies are destroyed, many lives are lost. And, you know, I really want to do . this again, and again, and once again to see from the train window, first the plant named Ilyich, then Azovstal, I really do not like these plants, I myself worked there, but now this is something incredible for me .. I will do it. I will definitely go out on the platform of the Ukrainian Mariupol railway station “, concluded the presenter.
