Chinese technology corporation Tencent’s Robotics X Lab has introduced a new Max robot. This was reported by Pandaily.
The device has the ability to learn and can learn new movements within hours. It is equipped with unique navigation and is able to determine terrain conditions in real time, as well as create maps of the earth’s surface.
“To better address the problem of robot control accuracy caused by highly dynamic actions such as jumps and somersaults, the Robotics X team developed a predictive control algorithm that incorporates optimal jump path planning and real-time balanced motion path planning,” Tencent said.
Robotics X also added touchdown detection capabilities based on integrated torque feedback for Max. In this way, the robot can accurately assess the landing state of its foot during highly dynamic movements such as jumps and front flips.
