At the Voice of Peace concert with the participation of Ukrainian performers, blue and yellow flags were removed from the audience.
In Almaty, at the Voice of Peace charity concert, held in support of Ukraine, spectators with blue and yellow banners were not allowed to pass. This was reported by The Village Kazakhstan.
It is worth noting that before the concert started, there was a huge queue. Many people came with symbols of Ukraine, however, security officers began to remove the flags from people and erase the prints painted on their faces.
“At the concert there was a large crowd of people supporting Ukraine. But they were not allowed to express their civic position at the Voice of Peace. I think this is nonsense,” said local activist Darkhan Sharip.
Later, the activist added that the concert organizers had nothing to do with removing the symbols. The ban here was reportedly issued by the city administration.
It was previously reported that Kazakh rapper Skryptonit expressed support for Ukraine for the first time since the start of a full-scale war.
