The Norway’s prosecution office officially charged 28-year-old Marius Borghu Hoybi, the son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit from previous relationships. Reuters reported it.
Among the accusations are four rape cases, including one with sex and three – without it. According to prosecutors, the man shot part of the phone incidents.
In addition, Hoybi was accused of beating, domestic violence and other crimes. The lawyer said his client was a category that denied the accusations of rape and violence, but he was willing to admit guilt at some less serious stages.
The case hearing should begin at the beginning of next year. In the case of evidence, Hoybi’s guilt threatens up to 10 years in prison.
Marius Borg Hoibi was no king’s title, but for a long time he lived in a king home with his mother, Kronprint Hokon and their children – Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus. The king’s family in their statement emphasized: “The courts should consider this case and make a decision.”
Law enforcement officials have previously been detained by Hoibi. In August 2024, he was arrested for beating a partner who had been diagnosed with a concussion. In November of that year, another woman announced the rape of loss of consciousness. In June 2025, the prosecutor’s office confirmed: The number of victims of Heybi’s actions could reach a few dozen.
Earlier it was reported that Oslo police have stopped Marius Borg Hibi, the eldest son of Norway Crinprints, Mette-Marit, in suspicion of rape.
